Duration:1730-2200

Tide:LW 1930 ish

Weather: Cold wind W-NW

Bait: Rag Mack Sandeel

Rigs: 3 hook flapper and clipdown and conger trace.

Results:Lots of small whiting and cod

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: The tide was bad but I needed somewhere that took little effort to get to. No sign of any conger or anything of any size. Just good to get out again.

Hi Pat, just wondering where you got your rag from if you bought it, Viking?Sandeel can often be decent for codling. Nice to be connecting to some fish anyway.

Sorry :oops: , another question,I know there was usually plenty of activity at night during summer offering decent light but is this place well lit at all during the winter night?

Hi Col, I get the rag in Viking as it is handy for me to get to on the way from Kildare instead of having to go into town. The end of the pier is well lit but the back can be very dark but no problem with a decent headlight. I fish here the odd time in Winter when I need a bit of shelter.
