Ron Thompson X-Symmetry surf

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

you could definately do worse than this rod, for the money it is excellent, i would say they can be picked up for around £25-30 now.

they will put a 4 oz lead and baited trace a good distance.
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!

They only have the 14' in Stock, would there be much difference between this and the 15' rod in achieving distance, Or do you think that i would be better off looking at The 14foot Diawa Longbeam? http://www.fishingmegastore.com/acatalo ... _Rods.html Sorry for all the question just wanna get the best value for money,
Cheers again for the help,
Al

Cheers Bigphil! I decided to get the 14' Ron Thompson coz it was cheaper and plus it's only a short term thing until i have enough dough to buy a decent rod, Sure you never know i might be suprised :)

Just look at any of the above links highlighted in blue and it should take you straight to them! Ordered mine on Thursday from http://www.tackleshop.co.uk got to Ireland on Monday morn :) Ordered Rigs and Wallet from Glasgow Angling Centre that tuesday and they arrived on Thursday but that was to where im living in England! but they both seem to be very reliable, which is good.
