Glenarm Bch, Waterfoot, Glenarm Breakwater, Antrim, 03/11/06
People: Hairyconger, Myself
Duration: 6pm - 11pm
Tide: Big and Wet.
Weather: 1. Calm, Gorgeous, 2. Force 8 Gale, 3. Somewhere in between.
Bait: Rag, Mackeral, Sandeel.
Rigs: 3 Hook SRT/ABC Clipped Down, Wishbone, Clipped Up.
Results: 2 Dogfish, 2 Dabs, 1 Pollack
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report:
Started on Glenarm beach where wee was lying heavy in the water, we gave it an hour and the Rod tips didn't move.
Next it was on to Waterfoot Pier, We Fished the Back end due to the wind First cast I got a small Pollack, followed by a 50cm, and a 55cm Dogfish, Next Stevie hit a 16.5cm Dab, and I rounded it up with a 21cm Dab. The Wind on this venue was crazy, and we certainly didn't expect it, it increased to the point that it just wasn't viable to fish the mark anymore.
So... Back to Glenarm breakwater which we thought would produce some goods, I got One Positive Bite and the rest of the time the Rods stood idle.
As Usual great craic with Stevie. Pity about the results. :?

Glenarm beach
How did you boys finish last night at Glenarm, i am Mark we left you bait before we left. Do you ever catch any good flatties off that beach. Wasnt it cold. I had a small Flounder and loads of small whiting the place was stuffed with them we had hoped some big cod might have been following them.
Tight lines

We didn't get any positive Bites mark, We moved after about an hour cos some sort of BB outing decided to set up camp beside us. Done ok in Waterfoot though the Conditions were to be described as Wild, after getting blown about for an hour and a half we returned to Glenarm breakwater where I only got one positive bite, before heading for home.
Thanks very much for the bait mate.
See you again. 8)
