Wicklow, old pier

Fished here myself today. bait was squid and sandeel. Only had the light spinning rod so conger weren't on the cards.
Was expecting some whiting and colies as there are usually decent numbers of these about.
Had a terrable day :cry: , nearly each cast resulted in a snag and having to pull for a break ( 6lb line) forcing me to tie 3/4 rigs on the pier. In the cold weather with no coat or gloves I gave up after about an 1hr20mins.
Stupid to go out unprepared and the rod was really too light for this occasion. Managed one pout for my efforts. Ah well, I'll now better next time.
