wicklow harbour (wicklow) 1/11/06 congers

People:me and boycie and bruno me dog

Duration:2hrs

Tide:riseing

Weather:sunny but cold

Bait:macky and peeler

Rigs:conger and 3 hook flappers

Results:2 congers 3 codling 2 coalies and 2 pouting

Catch and Release:: Yes/Noyes all of them



Report:
after been told thers no conger in wicklow harbour i had to see for myself i had 3 drops for conger and got one every drop landed the first,lost the 2nd my knot gave way :x landed the 3rd .boycie caught the rest of the fish and he lost a conger so there ya go there are conger in wicklow harbour not a bad 2hrs fishing. maybe my pups good luck it was his first time fishing

Nice one gibbo, fair play for giving it a go when it hasn't got a reputation for conger. There decent size fish too! Plan to have a bash for 'em later on in the year.

Nice catch and during the day, were the congers tight to the harbour??

yeh they were in fairly tight
species. bass,pollock,conger,withing,blue whiting,dogs,3b rockling,cod,coaley,dab,wrasse,SMOOTHIE,flounder,plaice,tope,red gurnard,blue shark,mackrel,fresh water eel,pouting,and a nice 6lb lobster,scad,huss,corkswin wrasse.
