long rod, Cormoran?

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

long rod, Cormoran?

#1 Post by col »

Just wondering if anybody has heard much about this brand: Cormoran SEACOR

Claim to be the same quality as Daiwa but cheap ( Are they made in same factory, just different label? )

Was considering buying this rod as I would love to be able to hit the bigger distances but don't have that much spare cash.Long link, sorry.

http://cgi.ebay.ie/DAIWA-15ft-Beachcast ... dZViewItem

The Daiwa longbeam as advised by petekd is in my price range but I feel 16ft may just be a bit too long.

Any help or info would be much appreciated, thanks,

I thought TBH that Cormoran was a Daiwa Brand.... Buy the Longbeam 16 Col, the cormoran stuff I know bugger all about but it has always been pretty much bottom of the pile price wise. There's no difficulty in handling it, all your doing is overhead thumping after all, keep your lead on a nice shortish drop and you'll be grand.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D
