GLENARM BREAKWATER 21/10/06

People: me and jc

Duration: 8 hrs

Tide: incoming

Weather: dry and flat calm

Bait: lug and squid

Rigs: flapper, bomber and pennel

Results: 4 codling, 6 doggies and 2 pollock

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report: arrived at the mark at 4pm. tide just starting to come in! lug squid cocktail resulted in 2 codling on first cast. another couple of codling and 2 pollock produced before it got dark then all went quiet for a while. after dark the only fish that were biting were the dogs.

yes that was you then we drove pass there at 10pm a few :D people there you all had seats .
like fishing there of course we caught doggys but othere fish caught :(

that was us arite big liam! there was just the two of us.. i was sayin to jc there wub be some of the lads driving past on the way home from cushendun.

good session ghostie wish it was like that at cushendun only a couple of keeper fish where caught and the rest undersize....i musta had about 30 undersize whiting, flounder and coalies all the coalies where 29cm and the flounder between 23 and 24cm
2010 species list: coalies, flounder, whiting, pollock, cod, doggie, sea trout, pouting, poor cod, short spined sea scorpion, long spined sea scorpion, 3 breaded rockling, shore rockling, 5 breaded rockling, tompot blenny, mackie, placie, dab, bullhuss, conger, ballan wrasse, corkwing wrasse, goldshinny wrasse,thronie, lesser weaver, bass, tub gurnard, red gurnard, grey gurnard, shanny, rock goby, turbot,

seems to be the story everywere mate. all the doggies we got were all big and fat. 1 must of been about 4lb.. everything else about 1/2lb. h/fully when it gets abit colder and rougher there will be a few half decent codling floatin about. gonna try fishing the local spots abit more. have heard abit of chat bout browns bay beach fishing well by a non forum member. might be worth a crack some week night
