Report: A real tough days dangling with howling winds blowing from left to right making life very uncomfortable. I finally broke my SAI comp duck with a double shot of Turbot after horsing out a 3 hook flapper baited with rag and killybegs finest mackerel (cheers Pete). At this stage it was dark, it was cold and it was blowing a bit of rain, I was shattered tired after a long night in Letterkenny the night before so ended up zipping up the float suit, lying down and had a kip for 30-40 minutes. Woke up and pulled in a double shot.... :D Ha Ha Ha!!!! New tactic to try at some stage! Tight going on the beach, that was the sum total of 5 hours fishing. Gotta say though, whilst the fishing was cack, the craic was good. Great turnout for such a horrible day, fair play to all who turned up. We look forward to doing battle again soon...

We'd be looking at mid June on from that, the Bass ban finishes June 15th so maybe the 17th/18th or so.
Could do something else Feb/ March, maybe?

That's not what I heard, and the results support that theory :D

Not much luck here either.Dropped a counting flounder in the surf and couldn'd get my foot on it quick enough. Also caught a non counter flounder.18cm.  But still enjoyed the craic.

Not a thing all day ,and i'd been on the beach for a couple of hours before everyone else  give me rocks to sit on anyday ,good craic reeling in crows gear though ,even funnier hooking sandeels onto his flier when he wasn't looking
Good to meet you all and hopefully make the southern leg next year .
