Estuary meet in Glin Co. Limerick, 7-oct-06

People:me, Neilus, Richard, Eoin Noonan, Sean365, Gearoid, John Lynch

Duration: 7:30 till after 11pm

Tide: Low water after 12pm

Weather: Blustery westerly

Bait: fish

Rigs: mainly pulleys

Results: an 8lb ray, a ray over 1lb and a smaller ray, a 7lb huss, 2 strap less than 1lb and a 2lb and a doggy

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Most fish caught in the first couple hours. Water was very silty which is good. The hotter part of the tide would of been after 10 normally so I thought we would of got more fish but unfortunately thats when conditions worsened with the wind picking up making fishing diffcult as the session went on with the weed in the water so we packed up in dribs and drabs after 11pm. Not many fish but two very good fish with a ray weighing in at 8lbs for John Lynch and sean365 had a huss weighing 7lbs.

A good turn out and we'll meet in carrig west next month so the option of clean ground or rough grond fishing

It was a good evening fishing i headed off earlier as my collection of breakaways were getting lighter by the cast but it was a good evening fishing all the same it was good being around fishermen who will talk to you and have a laugh on the beach instead of being hostile or telling you where to go when you go for a chat :lol:
