Veals Postage

#1 Post by sharky »

Had an order from Veals for £12 Stg delivered today, ordered last Sat. They sent it by Registered Post at a cost of £7.50 Stg. Contacted them and they said 1 in 5 parcels were not being delivered to Ireland and they were paying for them again, but it is now 1 in 100. They will send it by normal post but you take the hit if it doesn't arrive. Not worth ordering small amounts anymore unless you tell them the way you want it sent.

Thanks for the info. I ordered some fairly bulky stuff (rucksack + other bits and bobs) which arrived today and the P&P cost £20. Might risk the ordinary post next time.

I wonder where the missing packages go. I have my suspicions ... :x ...

I post about 10-20 packages into the UK a week, about 1 in 50 gets "lost in post" seems to be getting better than it was a year ago but still have to eat the cost of a few every fortnight.

The total amount of UK post that goes missing a year is huge, the latest figures from Postwatch is 1.5 million items a week (although they do handle 88 million items per day)....sods law it will be yours.. :x
