People:Me
Duration: 5pm til 9pm
Tide: Neap low 7pm
Weather: clear with westerly breeze. Water had some silt.
Bait: Fish
Rigs: Mainly Pulley
Results: a 7 1/2lb huss, 4 dogs and 2 straps
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: Had no bites until I took my sandwich out and got the rattle of a doggy close in at 6pm. after unhooking noticed my line on the second rod had changed angle and pulled in the huss. Got the rest of the dogs before 7pm along with a missed doggy bite. Had two straps over flood that were around 1lb and missed bite probably another strap. Conditions were good and was suprised there were no ray but the reason I'd gone out was to get a decent huss so was happy.

Hi Pete,
Thanks. The fish was taken by a large sand eel (blue packet of ammo) with the head and tail snipped to release the sent. The rig was a 2/0 penel pulley and 30lb snood and I was afraid of my life to loose the fish on the last 20 yards when I realised what I had so eased the fish in. Fish was hooked on the top hook of the penel which is usual for huss.
