second hand rod or spend a few more quid , I am useing gravuell RC 450
and love it . At 15th long it may be two big for you :?: :?: but can cast a long long way with a simple over the head cast and the bite detection is great. In veals they are £90 plus delivery , good value

hope this helps

i would say look for an original moonraker .. but for that price you are joking..
what are you fishing with to begin with... sometimes its just a case of knowing what to look for in a rod..

the older the rod the better they are in some cases....

Why do you want to be casting 8oz? Is there a very fast tidal flow where you fish?
