Irish Master Angler 2006 info.
can anybody give me any info on the marks for the master angler, best baits or what fish to expect. i don't mind driving 190 miles to go fishing, but i do mind paying 120 yo-yo's +B+B and not getting any fish! If ye don't want to post up info here just p.m. me instead. thanks in advance...

I'm not familiar with the marks but you could also search through past posts and catch reports on the forum, or look at the main SAI website.

All these venues are capable of producing good catches. Reports from the venues can be seen on our web-site http://www.kilmoresac.com

I'm stickying this.
Please, debate the merits or otherwise of the Master Angler Comp/Irish Team elsewhere (i.e. not this thread).
Use this thread for a discussion on the venues this year.
Also questions about accomodation, food, drink etc are ok..
venues
kilmuckridge area - morriscatle and tinnebearna beaches i presume,
they are both full of dogs at the moment espeically tinnebearna over low water, sandeel on a 3 hook flapper is all you'll need to bag up, chance of a bass or smoothie on lug and crab and also there should be some flounder on both beaches by now, fish close in the gullies 3 hook size 1's rag or lug tipped with a sliver of mackerel should do the trick if the fish are there.
Rosdoonstown has been on top form i had a report from some firends on monday night, they caught good numbers of bass to 8lb, then went on to catch some hounds, no codling yet but they wont be long in showing. most of the fish were taken on mackerel funny enough and there was also a 4lb seatrout taken on mackeral.
WORD OF WARNING - a lot of these beaches have been hit hard since monday and probably will be full of weed so be prepared for it.

That's a big tide for Courtown  Subtract somthing close to an hour for Morriscastle.
This is only a few miles from me ... I might wander a long to see what's happening, maybe pick up a few pointers :)

Saturday night match
Who did you hear it from ?. There have been rumours all week of a venue change but up until tuesday - when I checked with the host club - the venues were as listed originally.
