Great day and well worth a tenner. The skipper had all the rigs set up for mackeral which were the fish of the day and i suppose a good crowd pleaser. many on the boat caught there very first fish and i felt like a spanner bringing my tackle bag. but i have to say it came in useful when the skipper didnt have enough weight with him. I also wish i brought my boat rod as well.

real good craic had by all. I was about to switch to a cod trace when the skipper called time and we headed back to the shore. I had the mackeral cut into lovely strips and everything. lol

funniest thing that happened: One of the boys was bringing up what he shouted its a ficking monster and with a quick look the rod was bend like fick, as the fish started to surface. A ficking seal had the fish in its mouth and bit the fish in half and sped off. lol
