People:me, my fiance vicki and mate dave

Duration:7.00pm - 11.00pm

Tide:rising

Weather:calm with light showers

Bait:mack and lug

Rigs:3 hook clipped and flappers

Results:20 coalies, 1 codling and a red scoripion fish

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report: most of the coalies where between 25cm - 38cm....most of the coalies i caught where 29 and 1 at 35...my mate dave had the most but where all really small at 25cm - 28cm and a small red scorpion fish which where all caught in the mouth of the harbour...vicki had a couple of nice coalies and she also had the biggest at 38cm which was 2lb 1oz at aout 50 yards out and a nice wee codling of 30cm too....good to see dave catch his first fish...

Were you fishing close to the power station? I was told by one of the locasls that it produces some kind of toxic 'froth' when it discharges into the sea :?
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
Fresh Water (2) brown trout, sea trout

about 500 yards from the gates to the power station and if there is any toxics in the water it hasn't affected the fishin
