John Wilson Tide Line boat rod

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

John Wilson Tide Line boat rod

#1 Post by Ronald »

Got this rod from trap and tackle for headin away on holidays ,thought it would come in handy as it's light weight and gives me the option to fish really light .
The 20lb and 30lb tips have got most of the use so far with pirking in deep water with pirks upto 400g no problem to it .
Ive used the 20lb tip the last 2 weekends fishing ballycastle for rays and stuff and even fishing a 1 1/2lb lead wasn't to bad ,it handled fish in the tide no problem nothing huge only up to 12lb ,but it coped fine .
Def a good rod to have ,so much so that i'm selling my 2 abu's as their now redundant
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
