traveling with a rod
Hello everyone, i'm going over to scotland for a week to a m8 of mine over there,the trouble is i want to bring over my beachcaster, is there anywhere around cork city i can but a tube etc.. to put my rod into for the flight so it wont get damaged. thanks

Try a DIY or plumbing centre and buy some plastic drainage tube. You can buy end caps too, but you do need Duck tape to seal the ends. Measure your rod before you go and they will even cut it to length for you. If you measure across your folded rod at the widest point, this will give you your minimum internal diameter of the tube. Add a few inches extra to the length and put some bubble wrap in each end to protect the tips.

think cork angling centre sell purpose made rod tubes or try dan in the halfway or peter hornes
