Ledges and Glenarm Beach, Co Antrim 27th July

#1 Post by glengormley-gavin »

People: O Sole Mio

Duration: 19.30 - 23.45

Tide: Filling to a 01.00 HT

Weather: V calm and warm

Bait: Rag and mack

Rigs: 2 hool pulley, 2 hook scrathcer

Results: 1 chinese fish, 1 pollack and 4 dogs

Report:

Fished the ledge for 90 mins but very quiet, I took the pollack here, tide was very low. I then decided to try a beach one the way home, it was a toss up between Carnlough and Glenarm, I opted for Glenarm and took the chinese fish and dogs here.

My baits were being murdered with lots of big bites (using 1/0 fine hooks :? ), must have been crabs.

It was an enjoyable evening all the same.

BTW, the car park at Glenarm was bunged with 10 separate motor homes - popular spot.....

you really should scale down to a size 2 or size 4 on glenarm beach jude, it will land anything you are likely to catch there no problem.it will result in less missed bites too , these are probably the smaller coalies, codling, rockling, whiting etc
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!
