Now that just p#sses me off..!!! Does nobody say anything to these people..? Thats the problem with posting some reports, the wrong people will read them and its the same reason I will never tell anyone about my top bass marks. I will tell people about good marks but I have and handful that are top class and will stay that way.
U must have been well p#ssed off C, I would have flipped.

yes eoghan im sure there are people like that - who take anything - but they had a fertiliser bag with them - obviuosly with the intention of filling it
if thats their game - the make it their business and will find out/know the spots one way or another
if it was some randomer without a fertiliser bag then maybe education is the way - but the lads poaching proper know the spots anyway
if more responsible anglers know spots - there should be more bad word about poaching and it becomes more of a problem in the local enforcement peoples eyes
think 1 angler in a spot all to his own and it gets hit by poachers - thats it - stock wiped and only 1 voice
just my opinion

This has been going on for years at this mark. But the fisheries board do take action here now and again. Some guys were caught fishing here during ban and will be prosecuted. There has also been lots of illegal netting at the entrance off Pilmore and the salmon netting continues just of the shore at Red barn, although I am sure they don't just target salmon. I think at this stage the more we highlight it the more chance of it been stopped.
