Waterville 2nd week in July
Fished it over a couple of days at the beach and over the rocks and finally managed to get myself a bass, not big at 42cm but was nonetheless over the moon. Seen one of Kevin Brain's customers catch a really nice fish of about 7lb on the beach. There was a lot of fine weed in the water in the early part of the week which made life difficult, made the beaches in the bay virtually unfishable. Also tried Derrynane and Rineen but with no success.
Sea Species(25) bass, codling, whiting, turbot, seatrout, stingray, pollock, coalfish, longspine scorpion, ballan wrasse, dogfish, ling, pouting, poor cod, dab, mackerel, smelt, sandeel, launce, bull huss, painted ray, thick lip mullet, golden grey mullet, rock goby.
