People: 8 sad souls including myself

Duration: 9.30pm - 1.30am

Tide: 11.25pm FT

Weather: Terrible, strong southerly at first then stronger south westerly. Horizontal rain all the time.

Bait: mackeral, sand-eel, crab.

Rigs: pennel special, one hook paternoster,

Results: 4 doggies for me.

Report: From what looked like it was madness to be even on the beach we decided to give it a go, despite a lot of weed on the western side of the beach. We moved pegs and started 30 min late. Within 1 hour a few doggies and some rockling were measured and released it all appeared to be better than we thought. Fish were caught at all stages of the tide and even some decent coddling on lug. I think seven fish won (5 doggies and 2 rockling) which wasn't bad for the night. The weed started to make an appearance for the last hour and was beginning to make it unfishable.

Your a braver man than me mate, not a hope of me venturing out in that! Good a few fish lifted the gloom a bit anyway.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D
