Report: came across 2 sets of longlines about 300 hooks 6 ft. apart
are these legal/illegal??????

Not as far as I know. If the individual who owned them caught and kept more than two bass on them in a 24 hour period, that'd be illegal....

With a longline you could be fishing for flatties.....in that case, I don't think there is any legal bar on it....

NOT LEGAL. Call the fisheries board, contact your local TD, these feckers are going to destroy your bass fishing Cortaz. You are privileged to have such a good Bass area. Keep it that way.
Maybe the folks who are setting these lines would like to chat to the authorities. :evil: :evil: :evil:

I would have no qualms in destroying such lines (if it was proved that Bass was the target), i'm not advocating that though as it probably would be illegal! :lol: Terrible situation Cortaz..

i would probably destroy the lines. makes no difference what there after. using that amount of hooks isnt for personal enjoyment.

the lines are set every summer more or less in the same area.
when it was legal to net,catch,sell bass there were lots more.
they are set for bass and only bass.
would cut them but i need my tyres
