Poulnasharry, Co. Clare, 2-July

#1 Post by Donagh »

People: 9 Anglers from shannon town ac

Duration: 12pm till 4pm

Tide: low around 4:30

Weather: Hazy with NE wind. Water was crystal clear.

Bait:fish

Rigs:all sorts

Results: 4 anglers got fish. First had 5 ray to 2.2kg, secound 4 dogs third ray and dog and fourth a dog.

Report: I blanked for the third time this year in the estuary the two times before were both comps in poulnasharry. Fishing was again very localised with bites coming all the way through from the same 2 pegs as last time. I was with another group at the other side and there were only bites in last half hour but it gave the angler beside me secound place. Weed made fishing very difficult here especially with wind with tide. It was pleasure fished by club members last week with very good results.

Fished dunlickey before hand to the right hand side for space for an hour and half but only got 15 macks. Only using 3 hook trace though and was being constant tangled by some gob sheen 30 yards away from me for the last half hour .
