People: Just me

Duration: 7.00 - 9.00

Tide: low

Weather: Cloudy but warm

Bait: Hokkai Feathers

Rigs:

Results: 28 Mackerel

Report: Mackerel seemed to be commiting hari kari as people were pulling them in on almost every cast. Even though it was early morning the place was packed out. Only problem was a seal who was harrassing the Polish guys on the lower rocks, he appeared to be taking a lot of fish straight off their feathers.

At least it was too early in the morning for people to be drinking flagons of cider….!

I fished Balscadden on a Friday evening a couple of weeks ago, but ended up packing it in after about 20 minutes. There were feathers flying everywhere, and after a couple of very close calls with 5oz lead weights, I decided that my head was more important than a couple of mackerel.
