Greenore Co. Louth 1st July 06

#1 Post by grangebellew »

People:
me + mate + about 20 others
Duration:
2 hours
Tide:
going out
Weather:
slight east wind
Bait:

Rigs:
hokai feathers (from eurotackle)
Results:
about 30 mackers

Report:
About 20 or 30 people fishing side-by-side off the beach in Greenore (about 20 meters from car park). Craic is good too. Greenore water gets very deep very quickly. When tide is running the currents are enormous. Best results is to cast out far (using 3 oz weight) and let feathers sink, catch current and reel in slowly, striking when the attack comes. Even with nylon you can feel the feathers being attacked before the mackers take off. Good fun!

:P
