Malahide - 25/06/06

#1 Post by GF80 »

People: Me

Duration: 19.30 - 21.30

Tide: High at 23pm

Weather: Windy but bright and mild

Bait: Various Lures

Rigs: n/a

Results: A large shrimp!

Report: First sea fishing outing of the year  after some successful coarse and fly fishing. Had a couple of hours to spend so said i'd pop down and spin for bass. Worked the beach from left to right in front of oscar traynors with various lures at various depths and retrieves including an orange toby, a blue toby, a flying C and a rapala. But alas no joy, despite seeing a quite large Sea-Trout rising beside me, all was quiet. I did manage to foul hook a large shrimp which is a first! Has anybody else out there had any recent success in Malahide and if so what tactics did they use?
