Fished from 9 til about 12.30 last night on the northern part of the beach. Was deserted. Looked like plenty of tilly lamps on the south part of the beach. Very rough ground and lost a few rigs before we found the sweet spots in between the rocks. Results were Dogs, Bass, small flounder and one long run from a fish that smashed tackle. Was quiet until we ground baited with sandeel, crab and squid. Plenty of small trout jumping.
Have to get back there with spinning rod early some morning, definite good bass ground. Reckon locals etc stay away as its rough ground but there is no doubt its potentially a classic bass spot if fished correctly.
Top 3 lure caught bass 2017 :
10Ib 5 oz
9Ib 2oz
8Ib 11oz
