red bay

got to red bay lt around 7pm saturday evening and thought the place wud b bunged but just 3 lads already fishing so plenty of room. tide was on its way up and i fished a light flattie rod baited with rag and prawn with a 3 oz plain lead and gave it a flick out .
after plenty of knocks i reeled in a palm size flattie with plenty more bites and fish until about 12am when i finished up with a small doggy which on light tackle felt like i was reelin in one of the salmon cages
a really enjoyable session nothing massive but a joy to b out on a lovely nite
apart from one thing ,did the bloke next to me really have to kill every doggy he took from the water to "boil em up for the dogs cos they luv em and thats all there good fo" i think not ,but on the other had was nice to see the lad who caught the 8 lb strappy release it live.
