Greystones north beach

#1 Post by Al »

People: Myself and my mate Scotty

Duration:3:00am-7:00am

Tide:Fished both sides of full tide

Weather: Lovely and Calm

Bait:Rag, Crab, Sandeel & Sardines

Rigs: 1 up 1 down

Results: Countless lsd's,about 15 whiting and a dab

Great night weather was warm and calm.Double shots nearly every cast, used cocktails of rag and crab worked the best n sandeel on its own also very productive(well for the doggies) sardines were crap and fell apart so stopped using them. Mostly doggies but i didn't mind at all, no fish to any decent size but great craic all the same and also happy with my first dab :):):)

Oh yeah i forgot to mention this yesterday, there where shoals of small fish jumping out of the water there where thousands of them i think they were sandeel but i'm not sure, there where also bigger fish chasing them out of the water, anybody have any idea what they could have been? i was thinking sea trout but i could be wrong some of them where a decent size too i'd say about 5 pound or so and they where only a few feet from the shore too!
