Has anyone ever bought/used any of their range of fixed spool reels. They get a lot of shelf space in several local tackle shops and combine loads of features with a low price. I purchased a baitrunner style one yesterday, 8bb, holds 275 yards of 15lb line with 2...yep, 2 spare spools for €47.00 :o
Intend using it for spinning as the other reel I had for the task, a Mitchell Avocet, all bearings rusted and seized. Only bought it in jan and it hadnt been used more than a half dozen times, do not buy these, they are scrap!

I'm not too sure a Jaxon will be up to salt water spinning either, unless it's made for it. If it's a bait runner it will be made from fresh water fishing. You might not want to risk it in the salty stuff. Having said that as long as it doesn't get soaked and is washed after each trip you should be ok.

I've got a jaxon reel, called the seafighter or something. When I first used it I found it excellent however a year later it kind of began to fall apart :( THe reel foot btoke while playing a small fish, later some screws started coming loose regularly.
I'd say if its up to saltwater it will be enjoyable to use for a while but it may not last you very long.
Good luck with it, hope I'm wrong,
