A disappointing start to the day, i joined members of the Millisle angling club as we prepared for a day out on a charter boat from Portaferry, after arriving there however we were told it wasn't happening, disappointing indeed. It was decided to make our way back to HQ in Millisle were 4 members plus myself decided to make the day worthwhile and go for a run, so, a change of gear, back to Bangor for me to do the same thing and it was off to Cushendunn again for us. Everyone attempted to fish the beach bar Drew's dad (excellent of big Tom to do so much running about for us today, thanks), soon it was evident enough that perhaps the Portaferry skipper had the right idea as it was kicking up a heavy swell and surf on the beach, the beach itself was covered in families and the odd attempted surfer. After an hour or so of picking up little more than weed in the surf, we decided to move on down the coast again to Glenarm, another beautiful spot and slightly more sheltered from the battering the beach got. I decided to be lazy and simply enjoyed the sun whilst Drew and one other member fished, the other member had never caught a fish before from the beach and was quickly delighted when he struck into an average LSD, from there, the enthusiasm flowed (from him, i'm still being lazy), drew soon added another LSD of about 2lbs, quite surprising to catch them during the bright sunshine but there you go. In the end it was a day salvaged but a tiring one with all the driving. One more point to add, KFC Larne are idiots, they ran out of fecking chicken for various meal deals but instead of inform the quickly growing queue of this they decided to tell everyone individually when they reached the counter, several unsatisfied people indeed. Good day, though... Pics to follow.

Ok, the real reason i 'gave up' today was the at times inaccurate casting from the peoples close to me, it left me with little options and with the wind today, snags / tangles would have been inievitable(sp) with yet another line. As for Glenarm, the large amount of boulders etc for about 20 yards in front, i just weren't in the mood for the grief of it all. :P and i don't like rockhopping.
