Black Arch, Larne and Glenarm Breakwater

#1 Post by Conor C »

people: me and my two uncles

duration: 6pm-11pm

tide: high at 10:20pm

weather: Some light rain at times but warm and sunny otherwise

baits: mack,sand eel,rag worm, squid

rigs: pullies, pulley pennells and 3 hook booms

result: 6 dogfish, 1 ballan wrasse, loads of collies and pollack (a bit too small)

report: over all a good night i won the junior comp with one dog and my uncle came second in the Seniors with five dogs. my other uncle kept catching small collies and Pollock but near all was measured at 250mm and didn't count over all a good night. We had one ballan wrasse at the Black Arch - first this year :D :D

Yes Conor mate - was a good night. I now have some points on the board

It was more like Carryduff Kennels because of the amount of Dogs - I'm bringing a tin of Pedigree Chum next time

Nice one jude :D
My day was a complete disaster
I made the fatal mistake of staying at a mark that wasn't fishing well.
Heavy tackle losses and Small fish.
I just couldn't be bothered moving. (Lazy Twatt)
I could kick myself. :x But my wife has volunteered to do it for me :?

Hard lines Eddie,

as you can see from the above, we started at the Black Arch but only stayed for an hour and a half. We moved to Glenarm and got all our fish there.

I was just happy to get on the scoreboard - I thought I had won it but hats off to Mr Snoddy who is proving to be a hard man to catch.

Roll on Donegal...

Are you going on the boat trip next week?
