if you have an empty matching spare spool do the following

get a friend and stand in a field (no cowsh...)
attach the braid to your reel and through your rod rings.
get your friend to walk all the line off the spool away from you.
put a stick in the ground and get him to pass the braid around it and walk back towards you while you walk towards him.
when you meet you have divided the spool length evenly.
cut it at the stick (150 yards) and then wind onto spool with tension.
then attach your filling mono and wind on until spool is nearly filled
DO NOT OVER FILL
take empty spare spool and take all what you have just done and wind back onto the spare.
the mono will go on first followed by the braid - exact fit.

hope this helps
