Huss Ground

#1 Post by Adam S »

Hi all

I was wondering what peoples favourite ground for catching huss from the shore is.

I am planning to fish a deep rock mark at the end of the month, the rocky areas i know hold conger but i was wondering if the same ground will hold huss or would i be better to look for patches of sand beyond the rock (similar ground to where the ray are)?

Any input welcome

cheers
Adam

Huss can be caught along side ray but marks to rough for ray produce them. They can also be got from pure clean ground. The key things seem to be deep water and a strong tide run. A typical rough ground mark wil produce conger at slack and huss as the tide runs.

Hi

that should be spot on then. as the mark is deep and has a decent tide run. high tide coincides with dusk too so it should be just nice. thanks for the input
