Not sure what to make of this...

Right now i'm thinking that, quite honestly, i'd have released it if at all possible, i mean if you caught it, you kinda earned it so you'd have every right to keep it (not that he didn't have a right to keep it) but finding a cracker of that size simply stranded, i wouldn't feel right keeping it.. :shock: :?

Camera angle for sure and not even all that good. There is serious barrel distorition in the post the fish is hanging from.

It's amazing how much bigger a fish will look at 18mm and close into the lens. Here's a photo I took last year at 18mm. I had to take it that close as space was limited on the boat. My buddy also pushed the fish out a few inches to make it look bigger. This is a well known trick in carp angling.

This was a long fish anyway. We though it to be about 6lb It was 4lb 12oz
