Can anyone recommend braid that is suitable for beach-casting using a fixed spool reel. There are a lot of brands in the market place and have been a lot of advances in braid technology in recent years.
Anyone have any suggestions.

i use 50lb whiplash on my penn 60 i would prefer 30lb but when i got the reel it came with it on i find that you do get some extra distance with it and as for seeing bytes its far beter becuse it dosnt stretch tho if your going to try braid make sure that you use a mono shock leader i use daiwa Tournament Tapered Shock Leader its about £5.99p for 5 thats £1.20p eatch and they do last i have found you can pick whiplash up on e-bay 300 yard spool is something like £17-£20 but that will last you a very long time
