I do a lot of Trout fishing Pete, mainly on Lough Corrib, but give Sheelin, Owen and Ennel a go from time to time. I fish the Liffey (not for over a year now) & Boyne a good bit as we'll.

I used to love trout fishing although most of it was done in put 'n take places. I have fished Salmon rivers in Donegal, specifically the Glen, never caught Salmon like but it's a lovely river

I used to fish for salmon in the burren & do a lot of fly fishing on the
river Tolka for brownies & in Maynooth fisheries for rainbows.

Was actually out last night between 7 - 10.30 & had seven rainbows from
3 - 7lbs on dry flies. Bit knackered today so on the red bull but it was worth it!!

So there is a few of us then so :) Mind you its hard to get the time to do both sea and freshwater! Must keep an eye out for you on the Eany then David.

Just back from a long weekend on Mask and the fishing wasn't bad at all, average size of the brown trout is bout pound and a half, great fish and great fighters on the fly. Can't wait for the sea trout to start running :!:
