Crabing

Has anyone ever tried crabbing around the Doldrom Bay/Glenaveena area of Howth?

George i am sure there are crab there alright but not in the same number as Redrock or dollymount. i reckon it could produce in autumn for the velvet swimming crabs near the low tide line, but it is a maybe.

I saw people crabbing there yesterday who had landed on boats.

that's a first. well it's definately worth a closer look then. they were either chancing their arm or they' re onto something. i will have a look myself the next time i am out that way.
