Ballylongford

#1 Post by Donagh »

People: Me

Duration: 11:30am till 3:30pm

Tide: Low at 1pm

Weather: cloudy with sun. W to NW

Bait: Frozen mack, sand eel and squid

Rigs: pulleys, up and overs, paternosters, running ledgers etc.

Results: One dog

Report: Fished Ballylongford for the first time. Water was coloured and the sun was behind clouds for most of the time so conditions were good. Dog was a the only bite and registered only as a very slight bite. Met old fella out walking and he reckoned I was fishing the deepest part with the strongest tides. The fish just didn't seem to be on the feed or weren't there and fine weed in the water was a nusance so went home. Might try again later in the season for an evening session.
