Likewise Johnny it's always nice to put a face to the name. You did well with the traces judging by your result that mark is far better suited to spinning.

At times yes but it can throw decent fish off the bottom.
I just take the small rod and traces to keep me sane on days like yesterday.

have you ever fished it late at night? :?: i would have always fished there at night esp.in summer month unless i wanted to catch a few wrasse-always had to go earlier and normally stayed there for hours on end.spent 3 1/2 hours one friday night ond pulled out 83 in total. 8)
i will have to try there soon, have not been there for approx 2 months now.
i always use feathers or tinsle traces, most others use spinners.i fine traces work better, but i need to take loads of traces with me as it is quite weedy esp. when the tide is low. :)
weather and wife  permitting i may try it this friday or saturday night..........mmmm sound like a plan to me..
watch out fish-----here i come to get you  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you where fishing the bottoom pier ? Do you know if Ballyhenry Bay can be fished from the shore. Apparently it's up to the right of the ferry pier.
