I see no one has replied yet..........well, I'm only a holiday
visitor to Ireland, so, for what it's worth :-

last year, early June, I fished a couple of times at Gleesk-situated between Sneem and Caherdaniel, on
the rocks to the left of the small harbour. Sport was excellent
for a couple of hours before sunset. All methods caught : spinning, float
and bottom. Species: mackerel, pollock, wrasse, gurnurd and
dogfish ! Best fish , a 5 pound pollock, which was the only fish I kept during my 2 week stay ! There are definately bigger fish there !
pollocks!

Ok, This is a bit vaugue but however.
As a child we used to go on holidays to a place called templenoe, near where Spillanes pub is on the sneem side of Kenmare (about 4 miles out). Theres a pier there bit you wont catch much. Travel out towards sneem, and near blackwater harbour, the road starts to hug the sea. Right at that point the trees stop. If you park there and go down between the trees, I think there is a rock mark there where you may get pollock, macks and wrasse. You can see the 'waterfall' coming off the mountain on the other side of the bay at this point. I was only a teen when I was there last but I'd love to go back. If you do get to fish that point, please pm me and tell me how you got on.
