What a beautiful picture of Kilfarrasy at the website homepage. Anybody know what stage of the tide to fish these rocks? Would I be correct in thinking near the top of the tide :?:

Thanks

Rite proud of that shot I am so I am! caught nothing mind...

Best to fish it from close to low water down and back up so you can retreat back onto rocks that you can see, and you get to survey all the gullies and channels the bass will be hunting in... Not a place to fish on the way out as that forces you to chase the tide over extremely foul and very weedy ground, with the possibility of losing an ankle etc. Not nice. Also I am told that it fishes best at dawn and dusk and rarely well outside this...

FWIW...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
