Glenarm Beach & Breakwater 08 May

#1 Post by glengormley-gavin »

People: Beach - spgavin & me. Breakwater - Lee337, VIP, Topbox, spgavin, me and two other guys (sorry, didn't catch your names)

Duration: 19.30 - 00.15

Tide: HT 20.30

Weather: Lovely

Bait: Mack, rag, sandeel

Rigs: All sorts

Results: Beach - 1 coalie. Breakwater - Pouting, Pollack, dogs, dogs and more dogs

Report:
spgavin and I fished the beach for 2 hours but with limited success, there was a lot of weed on the beach but few fish. The surf was pretty heavy so I was expecting a better result.

We moved over to the Breakwater at 22.00 and met up with the aforementioned reprobates (esp. Lee337). From memory. everyone landed a fish except Lee337 :D :D :D :D :D .

Big shout to VIP who showed most of the men up with a steady run of fish including a nice pollack of around 2lb (was it tasty Julie?).

A great nights craic with a few fish thrown in for good measure.

Just like to point out that I did not blank, not too bad a sacrifice considering I was consentrating on dishing out the abuse! :D

Just like to add that it was nice to meet Simpo from the forum and his mate.

Great nights craic.

Even a bad days fishing is better than working.

Fishing picked up again after you left, pity you had to go. Craic was good till well after midnight.
