North of Dingle to shannon

#1 Post by frank24 »

Just wondered if anyone had recommendations for marks/areas they'd recommend for a fishing holiday? Particularly interested in areas north of the dingle pen. to the south bank of the shannon estuary. Looking for a base to have a go at ray, huss and tope from the shore, not too worried about bassing. Thanks

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

A rock mark on fenit island gets Huss , got a a small ray recently in the maharees

. do a search for ray on the site.

I put in a question last year and got some very good advice. was told the SPA out to fenit at low tide would produce ray

Fenit pier when fishing well gets rays, dogs and the like. fishes best at night
