rite heres the plan...the wee pier u need to fish bout 50 to 70yards and u will pick up dogs and some really good rays have been taken in the past....the best rig is a millenium rig or pennel pulley with 2/0's...straight mack is the killer up here i've tried peeler crab with no sucess, sandeel and squid also work really well, if u fish the beach on the right hand side of the peir u will need to cast a wee bit further to get past the weed which goes for about 20 yards from the beach....as for tackle 20lb main line and a good beach caster cause i will never forget the day i lost a doulble figure ray on a bass rod thanx to mr stuart langridge and sam mc dowell both grabbin the line

hope this helps
