People:Me and a few others

Duration:Most of the weekend

Tide:all states

Weather:breezy,sunny,showery.

Bait:sandeel,squid,mackeral,fresh peelers.

Rigs:1 up 1 down,pats,running pats,

Results:couple of conger,21lb and 17lb, some 3 bearded rockling and what looked like a 8/9lb pollack that fell off :roll:


Report:

Not the best result for a weekends fishing and lost alot of gear in the tackle graveyard off Blackhead and Doolin.Nothing doing on the beach for bass either although some nice bass have been caught there recently according to the locals.Ah well,great to get out a see a beautiful part of the world.

Fished around the same areas with zero results - floating rag and mussel, also tried Spanish Point on a very strong ebbing tide (and quite a dangerous rip too, very glad to have the floatation suit :shock: ) and lost something big (bait - sand eels on 2/3 flappers.

Had some consolation at cappa a couple of doggies and when the sea otter was gone there were plenty of average whiting all went back including (reluctantly :( )a whopper of Lobster 4+lbs at a guess (would have a pound bigger if he had both claws)

things will get better and now Leinster are out of the ERC :( I will have more time to get out, though I will switch allegence to Munster I wont have to travel.
