Kerry Head Pollock Fishing

#1 Post by Snoopytoop »

I would like to try and catch some pollock at Kerry Head this weekend. I've never been there before and was wondering what times of the tide fish best? I plan on using german sprat lures but can buy other ones also. Kerry head is the closest spot to me (live in Co. Limerick) but I'd be willing to travel further west if needed.

High water is always worth a go on deep rock marks. You may need lures that will "get down there". The German Sprat will do fine but I would look to something like a Black Minnow in No.3 18 or 25g and fish it "sink and draw" style back to you.
