Double Looping Beads??

I have always double looped beads when making traces to keep swivels stationary (or used a three way swivel) and have never given it much thought. After seeing various posts on crimping tools, power gum etc. I am now wondering what peoples views are on this? Is double looping a bead a big no-no in your eyes? Would it massively lower the strength of the mono?
