North Dublin 17.03.2022

#1 Post by Gonzo »

When: 17/03/2022
Where: North Dublin
Who: Myself
Duration: 17:00-22:00
High Water: 23:10
Equipment: 9ft Spinning Rod & 13ft Surf Rod
My Bait: Savage gear Seeker spinner and later peeler crab
Conditions: Calm weather
Result: 1 Seatrout

Got down to the mark at low tide with just my spinning gear at first, thought I'd do an hour or two of spinning before setting up the beach gear with bait. A few casts in with my new savage gear seeker lure, I had a nice take from a 44cm sea trout, first time catching one too! Returned after a quick photo and I got back to spinning for another hour. After that I headed to a different spot nearby and setup my beachcaster with peeler crab for bait, I had a few rattles but no hookups for the rest of the evening!

Ah they are still very scarce but managed to get about 10 small ones in two trips

People work to look forward to fishing, for those who can't fish stay in work there's nothing better.
