i'm guessing you mean kilkee in clare? word has it the fishing in the area is very poor of late. check out the report by donagh in the shore angling section on poulnasherry, that's about 5 miles outside kilkee on the shannon estuary. since the fishing has been so sketchy on the estuary lately, your best bet would be cappagh pier in kilrush town, you pass through kilrush on your way to kilkee, it's about 10 miles before you reach kilkee. you should pick up dogs, the odd strap, and the odd thorny.
if you wanna head the open atlantic, then head north out of kilkee for a few miles and you'll hit doughmore beach, i have no idea how it'll fish at this time of year but that's where the current irish record bass came from.
the fishing in the area really can be hit or miss at this time of year. throw a spinning rod in the car too, and messing around on the rocks in kilkee bay could easily through up a few smallish pollack. failing that, bring a fly rod and head for the reservoir stocked with brownies!!
